Applies to the VisCue website and online authorization service. Effective November 7, 2026.
The website provides feature information, guides, tutorials and the online-edition download. Online payments are currently paused. It does not offer visitor account registration. No third-party analytics script is used. Contact links and the WeChat QR code let you choose whether to contact us.
Trial claims, activation, refresh and unbinding send a device identifier, software version family, optional device name and authorization credentials to the license server. Trial periods, license status and device bindings support authorization checks and prevent repeat trials. Show projects, media and PPT files are not required for authorization. Update checking requests release metadata; an installer is requested only when downloading.
If online payments are enabled in the future, the service stores the merchant order number, amount, payment status, WeChat transaction reference, payment time and issued license record for delivery and support. We do not receive WeChat passwords or bank-card details. Order lookup receipts are private credentials: the server stores a digest, and the activation code is encrypted for later lookup. Never share your receipt or code publicly. The current website does not create new payment orders.
Public tutorials can be watched without signing in. Only an authenticated administrator can upload or manage them. Admin authentication uses a password and an expiring HttpOnly session cookie. Uploaded videos, titles, descriptions and publication status are stored on this server.
Our own server records public-page views and successful installer download requests, including the time, IP address, approximate country or region, target page or installer, and referrer hostname. It does not store complete browser-agent strings, referrer URL paths, query parameters, passwords, activation codes or payment secrets in analytics. Daily keyed anonymous hashes estimate visitors; people sharing a network and browser may be merged. Repeated download or range requests for the same visitor and file within ten minutes are merged. Request counts do not prove a completed download or installation. Statistics and IP records are retained for 180 days and can be viewed only by an authenticated administrator.
A local IP-to-country database selects Chinese for mainland-China IPs and English for other identified regions. Unknown IPs fall back to the browser language. You can manually choose Chinese or English; that preference is saved locally in your browser. IPs are not sent to an external geolocation API. Database attribution: DB-IP Country Lite, CC BY 4.0. IP location is approximate and may reflect a VPN or proxy exit.
